Azure Virtual Machines Health

This article describes how to download a specific dashboard pack. You can download dashboard packs from and learn more about how dashboard packs work here: Dashboard Packs.


This dashboard gives an overview of Virtual Machine Health focused on free disk space, heartbeat and CPU utilization using Kusto Query Language (KQL) to query a workspace in Azure.

How do I import and configure this dashboard?

  1. Ensure you're using SquaredUp DS v5.4 or above.

  2. Ensure your virtual machines are collecting metrics in an Azure Log Analytics Workspace.

  3. Create an Azure Log Analytics provider with the following settings:

    Note: The name is case-sensitive and must be entered exactly like given here for the tiles to recognize the provider automatically. If you name it differently, you will need to select the provider manually for each tile on the dashboard.

  4. Download and import this dashboard pack.

  5. Enter your Azure workspace in the KQL queries in each tile.
    1. Edit the tiles by clicking the Edit button.
    2. Open the query panel.
    3. Enter your Azure workspace in the query.
  6. Publish the dashboard.
