Export to Excel
SquaredUp DS (v4.5 and above) allows you to export the data shown on a dashboard or perspective to an Excel spreadsheet, using the Export to Excel button shown at the top right of the screen:
Each tile is exported to a separate tab within the file which is saved to the user's downloads folder.

How to export performance data to Excel
In addition to the whole dashboard or perspective export, individual Performance graphs can also be exported to Excel.
SquaredUp DS shows performance data collected by SCOM and stored in the SCOM Data Warehouse (DW) (this includes the raw, near-real time data as well as the historical data). For more information see How to use the Performance tile.
If you are unable to see performance graphs in SquaredUp DS take a look at Troubleshooting the Data Warehouse connection.
Walkthrough: Exporting performance data
- In SquaredUp DS browse or search and open a server page, for example a SQL server.
- Below the name of the server is a ribbon listing all of the perspectives available for this server. On a server perspective that shows performance data, click on a line on one of the graphs. You are taken to a performance drilldown showing the graph full page, including the latest values (see Understanding the figures on Performance graphs).
- Below the performance metric title is a ribbon listing different timeframes. Try clicking on increasingly larger timeframes.
The all timeframe will show all data available in the SCOM Data Warehouse. This will vary depending on your DW retention period, but is typically 400 days.
SquaredUp DS shows the highest resolution data (see How to use the Performance tile) available for the whole timeframe, and automatically switches to using hourly and daily aggregates depending on the timeframe selected. - To export the graph's data to Excel, click Export to Excel button at the top right of the page.
- Open the downloaded Excel file.
SquaredUp DS exports the data to Excel, and helpfully also draws a graph of the data in the Excel spreadsheet, which should look similar to the graph in SquaredUp DS.
Using the graph in the Excel spreadsheet you can easily add trendlines and other analytics. The raw data points are listed on a second worksheet called data.

Known Issues
Export fails when a Grid tile has only one row of data (SU-8113)
When a Grid tile has only one row of data the export to Excel fails and the following message is shown:
Export Failed: No supported tiles found. Unsupported tiles: Web Content, Matrix, SCOM Task On-Demand (Raw)
The exported spreadsheet does not show the correct data (SU-4965)
Filters which have been applied to the tile view are not reflected in the exported spreadsheet. For example, the Monitors tile will export all monitors even if it is set to only show those in warning or error states, or the exported spreadsheet will not show columns that have been added to the tile view.
