Broadcast
Broadcast allows you to display a message at the top of all dashboards which will be seen by any active users. This enables you to easily notify users of any updates or known issues, such as planned or even unplanned system outages.
Broadcast messages are not shown on Open Access dashboards.
Creating a Broadcast
The Broadcast tab is available from the menu
> System > Broadcast.- Markdown:
Broadcast messages should be written in markdown in the box.See the Markdown guide for reference.
A preview of the message is shown. Note the limited height of the message. - End broadcast at a specific time:
Selecting a date and time will automatically end the broadcast of the message at that time. - Click Send To All to broadcast the message.
To clear the message currently being displayed you should send a blank message.
