"Stop requested: ConfigurationChange" on Windows 2012
Symptoms
SquaredUp DS may behave erratically if installed on a Windows 2012 server where the Microsoft hotfix KB3052480 is not installed.
To confirm this is the issue check the SquaredUp DS log files in C:\inetpub\wwwroot\SquaredUp[Version Number]\Transient\Log
for the following message:
Stop requested: ConfigurationChange
Other symptoms may include:
- SquaredUp DS application pool recycling many times, which results in users being unexpectedly logged off or unable to log in
- Many different SquaredUp DS log files created very quickly (rolling-20160913, rolling-201609131, rolling-201609132 etc.)
Procedure
Make sure that your SquaredUp server(s) are up to date with all the available Microsoft updates.
This issue is fixed in KB3052480, which is rolled into various cumulative updates including (but not limited to) KB4019215 KB4022726, KB4025336, and KB4015550.
If the SquaredUp DS log files show the message below, please configure the anti-virus exclusions as described in Users are unexpectedly logged out of SquaredUp DS.
